How to enter:

If you don’t have a video or photo to upload you can make a written submission which could be a text message, a story or a poem (no longer than 250 words).

Any content you submit as an entry to the competition becomes the property of Disney and by submitting content to us you give Disney the right to display and make it available to the public and/or to use and exploit it or allow others to use or exploit it in any manner or media whatsoever. Disney may display or publish your submission on the website for the duration of the campaign and for publicity purposes both during and after the campaign and the event. You also understand that you will not be compensated for any use of your submission in any manner and acknowledge that you have no expectation of compensation in connection with any such use or exploitation.

Your entry must be your own original work and must not contain content owned by anybody else (such as music, lyrics, images or other property). We will review all videos, photos or other items submitted prior to uploading them to the competition website. Please make sure the content of your submission is suitable and does not contain anything which might cause offence (please click here to see our guidelines). Please also make sure that you are the owner of the video or photo or have the permission of the owner before you submit it to us. By sending us your photo or video you confirm that you have the permission of everyone who appears in it and that anyone under 18 featured is a member of your immediate family.

If your submission does not meet our guidelines then Disney reserves the right to disqualify your entry and we will not upload (or take down) the submission at any time, without further notice to you.

Selection Criteria:

Disney will review all eligible entries and will select 25 entries which best illustrate why their home towns should be twinned with Walt Disney World Resort in Florida and how they represent Walt Disney’s values when originally creating Walt Disney World. The shortlist of 25 entries will then be submitted to a panel of four judges who will decide the ultimate winner based on the creativity, imagination, articulation and overall impact of the entry.

The panel members are:
TV star Angellica Bell
Hugh Wood Vice President & Managing Director of Disney Destinations International UK
Duncan Wardle, VP of Creative Inc.
Patrick Brennan, VP Creative Development, Disney Imagineers.

Disney reserves the right to substitute any or all of the judges if for any reason they are unavailable to carry out the judging.

The judges will review the entries week commencing 30 November and reach conclusion during video conference on Friday 4 December. The winner will be informed on Monday 7 December.

Special Terms:

The Prize:
The prize is a family holiday at Walt Disney World for a family of four (two adults and two children). The prize comprises airfare, airport transfers to and from the hotel, accommodations, park admission (subject to capacity limitations) and meals. The holiday must be taken between 13 February 2010 and 21 February 2010 (subject to flight and room availability on the winners’ requested dates of travel). Park admission will be for all Disney Parks at Walt Disney World (subject to capacity) for the duration of the winners’ stay. Three meals will be provided per person per day, subject to a preset spending limit per meal. While Disney will use reasonable efforts to secure alternative transportation and accommodations, Disney shall not be responsible for providing such alternative arrangements if the winners do not meet timing requirements for the holiday, including allowing sufficient time for airport check-in and security procedures and meeting local ground transport providers as arranged by Disney.

Other items:
Winners must make and pay for their own travel arrangements to and from the UK airport, all other meals, drinks, hotel incidentals, telephone calls, room service or any other costs incurred by the winners. Winners are responsible for ensuring all persons travelling have valid passports and any necessary visas or other required documentation to comply with national/international travel and/or US immigration regulations.
